The Internal Audit Unit ensures that adequate measures for the prevention and prompt detection of fraud and loss of cash are put in place, revenue receipts are promptly and adequately brought to account under the proper heads and sub-heads, control of expenditures is adequate and payments are made are properly authorized, a system for the control and consumption of stores are adequate and issues are properly authorized and adequate verification of cash, stores, properties, plants/equipment and liabilities.
